Volgens Google / Polaris is Swissauto Powersports overgenomen door de sneeuwscooterfabrikant Polaris.
De automotive groep van SA blijft buiten de deal.
Ik kan niets specifieks vinden over de kartmotor, maar denk dat die er ook onder valt.
Wie vind het antwoord?

Het lijkt er naar uit te zien dat Polaris heel Swissauto powersports heeft overgenomen, dus dan ook het kartblok?

Ik zal het hun eens vragen. We kennen ze nu persoonlijk.

Polaris heeft een gedeelte van Swissauto overgenomen, de automotive afdeling blijft zelfstandig, maar de kartmotoren (Wenko AG gevestigd in Burgdorf) vallen wel onder de overname.
(Kan je beter hebben als dat ze de produktie beperken / stilleggen zoals bij Suter)
Hmmmm, ik zie het al voor me, SA 250 in een sneeuwscooter, misschien iets voor de wintercup

Ik heb gisteren telefonisch contact gehad met Rollin Vanmeerhaeghe uit Belgie(RVF) of terwijl de importeur van de Swiss Auto 250.
Het bericht dat de kartmotor ook aan Polaris is verkocht IS NIET WAAR!!! Ja er is een deel verkocht aan Polaris maar niet de kartmotor.
Deze zal gewoon door Swiss Auto geproduceerd blijven worden.

Swissauto collaborates with Polaris Industries Inc. Medina USA
Swissauto has sold the power sport- und Hybrid busines to Polaris Industries Inc. Medina USA and establishes a new product development center for Polaris in Europe. The Kart engine manufacturing and selling as well as the automotive charging divisions remains at WENKO AG Swissauto and is continued independent from Polaris.
Over the last years, Swissauto WENKO AG has build up and enlarged various core businesses in supercharging development, power sport engineering and Kart engine production and sales. Various products have been brought successfully to the market.
Wenko AG Swissauto always was concentrating on engineering and small series production. Mass production was never in the focus of the company. For further growing in the areas of power sport engineering and to realize the Hybrid Range extender engine, Swissauto was searching for a strong production and engineering partner.
Polaris Polaris Industries inc. in Medina, USA is world market leader in manufacturing and sales of various power sport products as ATV’s, UTV’s and Snowmobiles. With Victory Motorcycles, Polaris is the second biggest US bikes manufacturer. Already in the past, Swissauto realized various product developments with Polaris. Today, Swissauto can announce that the power sports engineering and Hybrid engine has been sold to Polaris Industries.
Swissauto power sport will act in the future as the European product development center and will enlarge the facilities to fulfill the future needs for the development for high performance and high efficient drive trains for Polaris and its international growth.
Wenko AG Swissauto is operating the businesses in automotive supercharging and the Kart engine manufacturing as in the past independent from Polaris at the locations in Burgdorf and Mellingen.
The automotive department is reinforced since January 2010 with a new established location in Stuttgart to handle the customers in the automotive industry directly.
The Kart engine manufacturing was enlarged in the past year and the presence in the market is consolidated. The engine will be produced and further developed as before at the Burgdorf location.
